Back by popular Demand, at Berea College Pinnacles Park, a pre New Years Hike. This years event will be at Buzzard's Roost. They claim this is the best view in the park. I kinda think Eagles Nest is but that's just my opinion. You can visit Eagles Nest if you like and state which view you think is better in your attended log. Hiking distance for the event only is around 1.5 - 2 miles one way, so plan accordingly. Also there is some minor boulder scrambles on the trails here.(Not necessary for just the event)
The event will begin at or around 9:03 am and end at or around 9:44am give or take a minute or two. My first New Years hike here saw temps in the low 30's with heavy snow squalls. Last years event was a very nice, perfect day. We served Hot Choclate at Eagles Nest, and this year we will be serving Hot Apple Cider or Hot Tea. BYOC, BRING YOUR OWN CUP. I may have some extras, but as they say in oHio, You're Momma don't work here, so you gotta remember yourself to bring your cup.
Before or after the event, There are over 50 geocaches available in this park and if you find them all in one day, I wanna shake your hand. ( You MUST sign each log and show pictures for each Earthcache ). You will have hiked over 12 miles!!
