St Peter's Church CITO
1000-1130 (approx)
Saturday 9th November 2019
The Church Micro series is the world's largest geocache series, with over 13,000 caches having been published across the UK since sadexploration hid the first one back in November 2007.
In order to help celebrate the 12 year anniversary of this milestone event, you are invited to join us at a Church CITO at St Peter's Church, Curdridge.
There will be the usual opportunities to exchange trackables and as this event has an official CM number, it will count toward your CM stats.
Tasks to be completed include:
- Focusing on Commonwealth war graves to tidy them.
- Using the heavy duty strimmer and hand strimmers to cut back the undergrowth.
- Cutting back low hanging branches especially over the footpaths.
- Trimming the hedges especially at the gates
- Tidying the path edges
- Cleaning the war memorial for the following day's remembrance service
We will meet at the church entrance just before 10am to meet with the Parish Warden, David, who will give us our briefing. We'll then work through to about 1130 after which some light refreshments will be provided.
David and his team will provide all equipment required, though you may want to bring your own gloves if you prefer.
Please also consider wearing appropriate clothing and sensible footwear. The event will proceed in any weather unless there are high winds or storms. There will be appropriate tasks for almost any ability level.
There is a large car park immediately adjacent to the church (as per the posted coordinates) which should have ample space for everyone to attend.
Important - Please indicate your ‘will attend’ so we have an idea of numbers.
All health and safety rules apply. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
After the CITO there will be an anniversary event at the same location, which also will count as a church micro towards your stats.
