Banc public
Cette cache met l’accent sur une œuvre d’art intitulée « Banc public » et implantée à La Défense à l’occasion de la première édition des Extatiques célébrant les 60 ans du quartier d’affaires, en 2018.
Elle vous conduira en deux points vous donnant l’occasion de très belles perspectives sur la Grande Arche d’un côté et sur l’Arc de Triomphe de l’autre. Un bon zoom pourra même vous projeter jusqu’au Louvre par temps clair.
L’Œuvre de l'artiste français Lilian Bourgeat se nourrit de l'imaginaire collectif. Il prend un objet banal, usuel, puis il le change d'échelle. Enfin il le replace judicieusement dans ce monde d'où il a été extrait. Cela permet de porter sur lui et sur son environnement un autre regard et finalement d'augmenter sa réalité, de le rendre extraordinaire. Le spectateur fait souvent partie intégrante du dispositif, il l'active. Il devient le révélateur de l'extraordinaire.
« J'ai eu envie de grimper dessus comme un môme »
L'œuvre Banc public (2009-2018) est un banc, objet banal de notre quotidien qui rythme habituellement nos jardins, parcs et rues. Agrandi de 2,5 fois l'original et réintégré dans l'espace public, il provoque une interaction entre l'objet, le paysage et le spectateur. Ce dernier peut devenir acteur et assumer la fonctionnalité de l'objet en s'asseyant sur le banc. Cet effort réactive tous les sens, c'est l'expérience d'une sensation de grandeur, de repositionnement, de mise à l'échelle du monde qui nous entoure: le paysage est poétisé. L'échelle choisie d'agrandissement donne au banc la capacité de pouvoir se fondre dans ce paysage urbain.
Pour trouver la cache il vous faudra reconstituer les coordonnées à partir de ces indices :
L = longueur du banc en mètres (nombre entier)
A = nombre de planches en bois qui composent l’assise
D = nombre de planches en bois qui composent le dossier
B = nombre de boulons d’acier qui maintiennent l’ensemble des planches sur la structure
Vous pourrez certainement trouver ces réponses depuis votre canapé mais je ne saurais trop vous conseiller d’aller sur place où vous prendrez beaucoup de plaisir à l’escalader comme un enfant pour réaliser un selfie original, pour votre album de famille ou pour illustrer votre log [photo non obligatoire].
Vous profiterez alors également de l'oeuvre de Takis (Vassilakis Panayotis Takis) décédé quelques jours avant la publication de cette cache et à l'origine du bassin éponyme et des 49 signaux que vous aurez sous les yeux.

Pourquoi "VERT" / Why "VERT" ?
[FR] Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2) était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches qui ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un challenge consistant à y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce challenge ne peut malheureusement pas concerner les caches de taille nano ou micro.

This geocache focuses on a piece of artwork named “Public Bench” and implemented in La Défense on the occasion of the first edition of the Ecstatics celebrating the 60th anniversary of the business district, in 2018.
It will lead you in two points giving you the opportunity of very beautiful perspectives on the Grande Arche on one side and on the Arc de Triomphe on the other one. A good zoom can even project you to the Louvre on a clear day.
The Work of the French artist Lilian Bourgeat feeds on the collective imagination. It takes a banal, common object, and then he changes its scale. Finally, he puts it wisely in the world from which it was extracted. This allows us to look at it and its environment in a different way and ultimately to increase its reality, to make it extraordinary. The piece of artwork Banc Public (2009-2018) is a bench, a commonplace object in our daily life that usually rhymes with our gardens, parks and streets. Enlarged by 2.5 times the original and reintegrated into the public space, it causes an interaction between the object, the landscape and the spectator. This one can become an actor and assume the functionality of the object by sitting on the bench. This effort reactivates all the senses, it is the experience of a feeling of greatness, of repositioning, of scaling of the world that surrounds us: the landscape is poetic. The scale chosen for expansion gives the bench the ability to blend into this urban landscape.
To find the geocache you will need to rebuild the coordinates from these clues:
L = bench length in meters (whole number)
A = number of wooden planks used for the seat
D = number of wooden planks used for the backrest
B = number of steel bolts that hold all the planks on the structure
You can certainly find these answers from your sofa but I can’t advise you too much to go there where you will take great pleasure in climbing it like a child to realize an original selfie, for your family album or to illustrate your log [photo not required].
You will also benefit from the work of Takis (Vassilakis Panayotis Takis) who died a few days before the publication of this cache and the origin of the eponymous pond and the 49 signals you will have in front of your eyes.

[EN] My first geocache ( GC3VHY2) was a green box, with a green pen, a green log book and green items for exchange. So was born the idea to place the caches which followed under the sign of the "VERT" ("GREEN" in French) and to propose a challenge consisting in depositing there rather "VERT" objects. This challenge cannot unfortunately concern the caches in nano or micro size.
