Il 5 agosto, in occasione della festa della Madonna delle Nevi, si svolgerà al Passo di Monte Moro il tradizionale incontro fra le genti della valle Anzasca e le genti della valle di Saas, con la Santa Messa alle ore 11.00 presieduta dai parroci delle due valli. La parrocchia di Macugnaga organizza la salita a piedi con ritrovo alle 4.00 del mattino da Chiesa Vecchia.
La partecipazione all'event sarà quindi possibile secondo le seguenti due modalità:
1) solamente per gli escursionisti esperti, il ritrovo sarà alle 4.00 del mattino a Chiesa Vecchia di Macugnaga. L'orario di partenza potrebbe subire modifiche nella fascia oraria tra le 4.00 e le 6.30, e sarà mia premura comunicarlo ai partecipanti. Indimenticabile panorama, durante tutta la salita, sulla parete Est del Monte Rosa, dal buio della notte al colore fiammeggiante dell'alba, fino all'abbagliante luce del giorno. Caratteristiche dell'escursione: dislivello 1500 metri (1320 - 2820), durata 4 h 30 min escluse soste durante il percorso, due geocache già nascosti lungo il tragitto, e in occasione dell'event è previsto il posizionamento di altri 3 geocache lungo il sentiero.
2) per coloro che non volessero affrontare l'impegnativa salita, è possibile raggiungere il Passo di Monte Moro in funivia e ritrovarsi direttamente alle ore 11.00 per la Santa Messa sulle rive del limpidissimo Lago Smeraldo e, a seguire, per condividere un aperitivo insieme con il Bretzel dell'amicizia!
On 5 August, on the occasion of the feast of Madonna delle Nevi (Virgin Mary of the Snow), the traditional meeting between the people of the Anzasca valley and the people of the Saas valley will take place at the Monte Moro Pass, with the Holy Mass at 11.00 am presided by the parish priests of the two valleys. The parish of Macugnaga organizes the ascent on foot with meeting at 4.00 am at the Old Church.
Participation in the event will therefore be possible in the following two ways:
1) only for expert hikers, the meeting will take place at 4.00 am in the Old Church of Macugnaga. The departure time could be changed in the time slot between 4.00 and 6.30, and I will communicate it to the participants. Unforgettable view, during the whole ascent, on the East face of Monte Rosa, from the darkness of the night to the flaming color of dawn, up to the dazzling light of day. Characteristics of the excursion: altitude difference 1500 meters (1320 - 2820), duration 4 h 30 min, excluding stops along the way, two geocaches already hidden along the way, and on the occasion of the event, the placement of other 3 geocaches along the path is foreseen.
2) for those who do not wish to tackle the demanding trekking, it is possible to reach the Monte Moro Pass by cable car and find ourselves directly at 11.00 am for the Holy Mass on the shores of the crystal clear Lake Smeraldo and, to follow, to share an aperitif together with the Bretzel of friendship!
