Geocache Description:

It’s called 'Graffiti Tunnel'. It’s the underpass that supports railroad tracks on Ginger Road in Lebanon MO. The tradition of 'tagging' this tunnel with messages goes back decades. Many Lebanon High students even take their senior pictures here.

Back in November of 2016 racial slurs and profanity were spray painted on this well-known Lebanon landmark. The last thing that anyone wants to see is your own community spotlighted in such an ugly way. It was just a really simple question, what's your response? The community responded immediately and in a big way. They showed exactly what Lebanon, Missouri is all about. They painted a huge American flag on both sides of the tunnel to cover all the hate and racial slurs that were there.

A lot of that flag is now covered again with graffiti but it’s not with all the hate that was there back in 2016. Not all graffiti is bad and this place is getting back to the way it has been for decades.

Permission granted to place this cache, and you will not need to go on private property.
