About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website
About Strathaird Station
From the location of the cache you can see the remains of the Strathaird Station sign and building. The station was a stop on the Taralga Branch line which was opened in 1926.
The line was never profitable and was closed in 1957. The track had been lifted and removed by 1959. What you can see here is the only infrastructure from the Taralga Branch Line that remains.
