Geocache Description:

  • This track was the only access road to Kennett Settlement before the Kennet River pier and Great Ocean Road were built.
  • The First settlers would wheel their wheelbarrows up this track and down what is now known as the West Barwon Road, to Forest. to collect mail and get supplies.
  • As far as I could find there is no record of how long this picnic area has been here. Maybe the first pioneers stopped here to boil the billy before carrying on to Forrest.

CACHE DETAILS:

Walk across the bridge and follow the scenic route until the end.
