About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Humberston Road Station

Here is the site of a little known station

t was originally opened in 1875 by Midland Counties Railway. Trains ran until March 4, 1968 - and from then on the building lay derelict.

As a Grade Two listed building it had to be preserved, but British Rail did not have the money to do and opted to sell it.

Eventually Leicestershire County Council bought it for £1 plus 15p VAT and it was removed in its entirety to the Bosworth Battlefield.
