Doniosłą rocznice odzyskania niepodległości postanowili uczcić również mieszkańcy miejscowości Borki Siedleckie. Kiedy jeden z gospodarzy wykopał na swoim polu ogromny głaz pojawił się pomysł aby kamień ustawić w widocznym miejscu, a na nim umieścić tablicę upamiętniającą 100 lat od odzyskania niepodległości.
Uroczyste odsłonięcie i poświęcenie pomnika w Borkach Siedleckich odbyło się 15 listopada 2018 roku. Na tablicy umieszczono słowa Jana Pawła II, który zawsze przypominał Polakom o tym jak ważnym i cennym darem jest wolna Ojczyzna.
