La Fortuna: the fortunate town. Local residents had no idea the imposing hill on the horizon was anything but a large, sandy hill for many decades...until one day it erupted. There are many places to view the volcano from, and each angle shows different, beautiful details. However, this cache is meant to be accessible for all who come to see Arenal. As La Fortuna is a starting point for many adventures around the volcano, it's beautiful park is the point to answer it from.
To log the cache you must include a picture in your log of your favorite picture from your time in La Fortuna, preferably with the Volcano in it. As an optional task send me the answers to the following questions (estimated less than two to three minutes to find answers).
1. What year did the volcano start erupting?
2. How many people were killed?
3. If the volcano started erupting while you are at the virtual cache location, what is the risk of you being in the path of erupting material?
