**Rakvere ordulinnuse lähedal asub endisele Tarvapää linnusele ja linnale nime andnud ürgveise Tarva kuju. Kuju avati 15. juunil 2002 tähistamaks 700 aasta möödumist Rakverele Lübecki linnaõiguste andmisest. Graniitalusel on kirjas kuju heaks annetanud isikute nimed ja olulised andmed Rakvere ajaloost. Kuju on 7,1 m pikk, 3,5 m kõrge (koos graniitalusega 5 m), sarvede vahe on 3,4 m ja kaal 7000 kg. Kuju skulptor on Tauno Kangro.

**Near Rakvere Order Castle on Vallimägi hill, stands the sculpture of aurochs, the ancestor of domestic cattle, Tarvas. Tarvas also gave the name to the former Tarvanpää stronghold and the city. Statue was opened on 15th of June 2002 to mark the 700th anniversary of Rakvere. He stands on a granite base bearing the coat of arms of Rakvere, a brief history of the town in Estonian, Swedish, German, Danish, Polish and Russian and the names of sculpture’s sponsors. The statue is 7,1 m long, 3,5 m high (with granite base 5m) and weighs 7 tonnes. The author is Tauno Kangro.
