Karlova Ves je jedna zo 17 mestských častí Bratislavy, hlavného mesta Slovenska. Nachádza sa v západnej časti mesta pri Dunaji na svahoch Malých Karpát a patrí do okresu Bratislava IV. Väčšinu svojej histórie bola vinohradníckou obcou, ale už v roku 1944 bola súčasťou Bratislavy. V roku 1957 sa tu začalo stavať panelákové sídlisko a až do súčasnosti sa stavajú nové rodinné a obytné domy, nákupné centrá a športoviská. Dnes má táto mestská časť s rozlohou 11,02 km2 viac ako 33 000 obyvateľov a navyše vo vysokoškolských internátoch v Mlynskej doline býva asi 15 000 študentov.
Ako centrum mestskej časti slúži moderné Námestie sv. Františka, na ktorom je miestny úrad a jeden z troch rímsko-katolíckych kostolov Karlovej Vsi. Na toto námestie vás privedú aj dané súradnice.

Karlova Ves is one of 17 boroughs composing the capital city of Slovakia, Bratislava. It is located in the western part of the city close to the river Danube on the slopes of the Little Carpathians mountains and it is part of the Bratislava IV administrative district. A small, wine-making village for most of its history, in 1944 it was already part of Bratislava city. In 1957, the construction of a large suburb with panel multi-apartment houses started and, until present, new houses and apartment blocks are being built, as well as supermarkets and sport facilities. Karlova Ves, having a total area of 11.02 km2, has more than 33,000 inhabitants and additional 15,000 students are housed in the university dormitories in Mlynská dolina, still in the Karlova Ves borough.
