LT Dviejų valstybių, Lietuvos Respublikos ir Rusijos Federacijos, teritorijoje esantis išskirtinis žmogaus ir gamtos kūrinys – Kuršių nerija – į UNESCO pasaulio paveldo sąrašą buvo įtraukta 2000 m. gruodžio mėnesį. Šiam įvykiui atminti Nidoje, Lotmiškio gatvės pradžioje pastatytas atminties ženklas - piramidė, primenantis ir įpareigojantis sergėti ir tausoti Kuršių nerijos kultūrinį kraštovaizdį. EN The unique creation of humans and nature, the Curonian Spit, which is located on the territory of two countries, Lithuania and Russia, has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List since December 2000.
