Geocache Description:

This is a virtual cache. There is not a container at any of the coordinates.

Logging requirements: message or email me the answers to the questions at stage 1 and stage 2, and post a picture in your log of the cabin at stage 3.

At stage 1 (N.39 22.815 W.088 12.566) you will find a blue and gold sign describing The Last Lincoln Farm. In what year was the sign erected?

At stage 2 (N.39 22.856 W.088 12.273) you will be at the south side of the Stephen Sargent home. How many doors and windows are on the south side of the house?

At stage 3 (N.39 22.754 W.088 12.148) you will find a replica of the last home of Abraham Lincoln's father and stepmother. Post a picture of the home in your log. It is not required that you are in the picture, but you can be if you want.

The Thomas Lincoln home is a replica of the last home of Abraham Lincoln's father and stepmother (Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln) and is placed on the original spot where it stood. Abe visited this farm many times and after 1841 held the title to the 40 acres on which it stood.
The Stephen Sargent home was originally located about 10 miles east of where it is now. Stephen Sargent was a more progressive farmer of the time and the two homes show the difference in how the Lincolns and Sargents lived.
