[EN] Zemitans square was created on 1929 as a starting point for what is now the Teika neighbourhood of Riga. Located at the center of the square is a monument to Jorgis Zemitans (1873-1928) - colonel of Latvian army.
[LV] Zemitāna laukums tika izveidots 1929. gadā kā centrālais laukums rajonam, kas 1937. gadā ieguva nosaukumu Teika. Laukuma vidū atrodas piemineklis Latvijas armijas pulkvedim Jorģim Zemitānam (1873-1928).
