Invicta
Uma das pontes mais emblemáticas da invicta, a ponte Luíz I foi projetada pelo engenheiro belga Théophile Seyrig e inaugurada em 1886. É composta por dois tabuleiros em ferro sobrepostos. Tem 395 metros de comprimento e 8 de largura, sendo o seu arco ainda hoje considerado o maior arco do mundo em ferro forjado. É do tabuleiro superior, local desta geocache, que vos convidamos a assistir a uma das mais belas vistas da nossa cidade. O rio Douro, os barcos rabelos, a muralha Fernandina, o funicular dos Guindais, a Ribeira e a serra do Pilar fazem parte de um espetáculo de cores indescritível que não podes perder. Vens?!

One of the most emblematic bridges of the city, Luíz I bridge was designed by the Belgian engineer Théophile Seyrig and inaugurated in 1886. It is composed of two overlapping iron trays. It is 395 meters long and 8 meters wide. Its arch is still today considered the largest wrought iron arch in the world. It is from the upper board, site of this geocache, that we invite you to watch one of the most beautiful views of our city. The Douro river, the boats, the Fernandina wall, the funicular of the Guindais, and the surrounding buildings are part of an amazing spectacle of colors that you can not miss. Are you coming?!
