DEER BRIDGE Virtual Cache

Kamenný most v Písku (neoficiálně také Jelení most) je nejstarším dochovaným mostem v Česku (historicky v pořadí druhý po zaniklém Juditině mostu). Most, postavený v gotickém slohu, překlenuje řeku Otavu asi 110 km jižně od hlavního města Prahy. Na mostě jsou umístěny repliky barokních soch a kříže.

Neoficiálně se most jmenuje Jelení, je tomu podle pověsti proto, že ve středověku bylo rozhodnuto, že se bude jmenovat podle prvního, kdo přes něj přejde na druhý břeh Otavy. Stalo se ale něco, co nikdo nečekal a prvním chodcem se stal jelen z blízkých lesů, a tak je most někdy jmenován podle něho. Pokud ale zavítáte do královského města Písek, většina lidí ho bude nazývat „Starý most“.

V roce 2007 bylo rozhodnuto, že se most bude oficiálně jmenovat Kamenný most v Písku, čímž skončil dlouholetý spor o název památky.

Podmínky pro uznání logu:
Pro uznání logu prosím vyfotografujte sebe nebo svou GPS a nějakou formu jelena u mostu a přiložte snímek k logu.
Logy bez fotografie budou smazány.

The Stone bridge in Písek (unofficially also the Deer Bridge) is the oldest preserved bridge in the Czech Republic (historically the second after the extinct Judith bridge). The bridge, built in the Gothic style, spans the Otava River about 110 km south of Prague. On the bridge there are replicas of Baroque statues and crosses.

Unofficially, the bridge is called "Deer bridge", it is according to legend, because in the Middle Ages it was decided that it would be named after the first one, who would cross the other side of Otava. But happened something that nobody expected, and the first pedestrian became a deer from nearby forests, so the bridge is sometimes named after him. But if you visit the royal town of Pisek, most local people will call it the "Old bridge".

In 2007, it was decided that the bridge would be officially named "Stone Bridge in Písek", ending a long-standing dispute over the name of the monument.

To acknowledge the logs, the following condition has to be met:
Please take a photo of yourself or your GPS and some form od deer at the bridge and attach the picture to your log.
Logs that do not contain a photo will be deleted.
