Stojíte poblíž pamětní desky vzpomínající na události z 21.8.1968 ale hlavně na lidi, kteří podlehli zraněním utrpěným toho dne. Srpnová okupace naší vlasti sovětskou armádou je snad dostatečně známá, takže se o ní nebudu rozepisovat. To jak tento den probíhal v Liberci je popsáno zde.
Pokud by vás zajímalo, kde je to ikonické podloubí, do kterého narazil tank a usmrtil tak několik lidí, otočte se k desce zády a je to šestý sloup podloubí vlevo od vás. Nicméně tyto budovy byly v osmdesátých letech postaveny znovu, jelikož původní byly po mohutném požáru v sedmdesátých letech kompletně zbourány.
A jak keš zalogovat? Máte dvě možnosti (pokud nesplníte ani jednu níže uvedenou podmínku, budu muset váš log smazat):
1) vyfoťte sebe nebo svoji GPS společně s pomníkem a připojte tuto fotku k logu, nebo
2) napište mi přes Centrum zpráv, kolik šroubů drží informační tabulku umístěnou vpravo od pomníku (pořádně se podívejte i dozadu, popřípadě ohmatejte rukou). Tuto možnost použijte jen když k logu nepřiložíte fotku dle bodu 1.
Na závěr už jenom vyjádřím přání, abychom už nikdo nemuseli zažít podobný den a následné období, kdy ani šéfkuchař ve Zlatém Lvu nemohl vykonávat svoji fukci, pokud před komisí neprohlásil, že okupace nebyla okupací ale bratrskou pomocí.

This cache replaces the original cache concerning this memorial.
You are standing near to the memorial of events from August 21st 1968 and mainly remembering the people who died because of injuries, which they sufferred that day. The Soviet occupation of our country is described e.g. at https://history.state.gov/milestones/1961-1968/soviet-invasion-czechoslavkia. The time course of the occupation day in Liberec is described at www.totalita.cz/1968/1968_liberec.php.
The tank bumped the arcades and killed several people. Turn your back to the memorial and look at the sixth arcade column on your left side. These buldings, however, were rebuilt in the 1980s, because the original buildings were demolised in the 1970s because they were damaged from large fire.
And how to log the cache? You have two possibilities (if you wouldn't fulfill any of the two conditions stated below, I would have to delete your log):
1) Take a photo of yourself or your GPS together with the memorial and attach it to the log
OR
2) Write a message through the Message Centre, how many screws are holding the information inscription placed at the right side of the memorial (look thoroughly also from the back side, you can also finger it with your hand). Use this possibility only if you do not attach the photo mentioned in the first possibility.
I wish noone will ever have to live through such a day and the following period, when even the Chef in the Zlatý Lev (the Golden Lion hotel) was not allowed to do his work unless he would state in front of a commission that the occupation was not an occupation but that it was a brother's help.
