Geocache Description:

This cache is located on Copper Island on the Shuswap Lake in British Columbia. The island is ringed by a trail that is easy to follow, but it earns a terrain rating of 5 due to the boat access only feature. There is no rock climbing or scrambling involved. Note: Copper Island does not seem to appear on the MapQuest maps, but it does exist!

You can use any kind of boat you like to get to the island, but it's too far to swim.

You must land on the island on the beach located at N 50° 54.784 W 119° 24.109.

From the beach, you’ll see a trail sign, go over to it. The trail to the right is shortest route to the cache… once you’ve found the cache, you can decide whether you want to continue on the loop, or just come back to the beach. The views are spectacular, so consider taking the loop. The whole trip takes about an hour.

The container is a large plastic coffee whitener bottle, camo painted. The contents are kid oriented… anything you plan to leave should be small enough to fit through the 6.9 cm diameter opening.
