Se volete respirare la magia di un luogo incontaminato, Lagole è il posto che fa per voi. Questa riserva naturale dall'incanto fiabesco si trova nei dintorni di Calalzo, vicino al lago di Centro Cadore. Lo sfondo delle Dolomiti dona poesia allo scenario, dove boschi di conifere si intervallano a specchi d'acqua, torrenti e ruscelli. L'area, anticamente frequentata da pellegrini e guerrieri, faceva parte di un complesso religioso legato al culto delle acque minerali, note da almeno 2.500 anni per le loro proprietà terapeutiche. La sua funzione di luogo di culto è testimoniata da reperti come le statuine di bronzo conservate nel Museo Archeologico Cadorino di Pieve di Cadore, indizi di un santuario di origine romana dedicato alla divinità Trumusiate. Una ventina di sorgenti sgorgano dal bacino meridionale dell'Antelao e confluiscono nel Laghetto delle Tose dove i locali, ma anche i pellegrini di passaggio, si immergevano per curare problemi cutanei o per offrire libagioni alla divinità Trumusiate. Il Laghetto delle Tose, ossia il "lago delle ragazze" in dialetto, è famoso per una leggenda locale secondo la quale le fanciulle del paese si bagnavano nelle acque del lago per acquisire l'eterna giovinezza grazie alle miracolose proprietà della fonte.

If you want to breathe the magic of an unspoilt place, Lagole is the place for you. This fairytale-like nature reserve is located near Calalzo, near the Centro Cadore lake. The background of the Dolomites gives poetry to the scenery, where conifer woods alternate with ponds, creeks and streams. The area, formerly frequented by pilgrims and warriors, was part of a religious complex linked to the cult of mineral waters, known for at least 2,500 years for their therapeutic properties. Its function as a place of worship is evidenced by retrievements such as the bronze statues preserved in the Cadorino Archaeological Museum of Pieve di Cadore, evidence of a Roman sanctuary dedicated to the Trumusiate divinity. About twenty springs flow from the southern Antelao basin and flow into the Laghetto delle Tose where the locals, but also passing pilgrims, plunged to treat skin problems or to offer libations to the Trumusiate divinity. The Laghetto delle Tose, or "girls' lake" in dialect, is famous for a local legend according to which the girls of the village bathed in the waters of the lake to acquire eternal youth thanks to the miraculous properties of the source.
