This is the location of the now long disused Cotter backwaters meteorological station! This station had a transmission tower, and a significant electronics/equipment box (you can still see the outline on the nearby concrete slab, and the electrical wires - now cut off). It also had a big fence around it! So it must have been important! All that is gone now, except for the base of the tower, and a thingy that looks like a rain gauge, maybe... All in all an interesting location - it would have been interesting to see it when it was in full operation. I would like to know what kind of data was collected, and what it was used for!
