There will be a potluck picnic, games, and geo conversations! There is ample free parking. We will be in the covered area. Before (or after) you go out to find the nearby caches, join us for some fun activities:
Cacher Bingo
What's in Your Geocaching Bag? (bring your geobag to participate)
GPS Accuracy (bring your GPS unit to participate) (if you'll be using your phone, the waypoint will be posted the morning of the event)
Golden Ticket raffle (if you found a Golden Ticket hidden in a cache, bring it with you)
GEOregon will provide bottled water, hot dogs, veggie dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, hot dog buns, burger buns, condiments, lettuce, tomato, onion, along with plates, napkins, and utensils. We'll even grill up your burger or dog for you!
For the potluck, if your CACHING name (not your own personal name) begins with the following letters (if your name begins with a number, just skip over it to the first letter), please bring:
A to G - dessert
H to P - chips/salsa/dips
Q to Z - salad or side dish
Please put your name on your container if you want it back, and if your item is vegan or gluten free, please mark it so people will know. Water will be provided. Bring your own soft drinks if you like.
Please log your Will Attend early, letting us know how many are in your group, and if anyone has a vegan/vegetarian preference, so we can have enough burgers and dogs for everyone.
It takes a lot of work to put on this event, and a couple of our Board members might not be able to be there, so we would love to have some more volunteers. If you've already signed up at one of the Meet & Greets, thank you! If you haven't signed up yet, would you maybe take a half-hour cooking shift, or help us set up or clean up? Do you have a small grill you could let us use? Would you like to help lead one of the activities? If so, please say so in your Will Attend message, or email the Board at georegon@gmail.com.
