Founding Father John Jay settled on a 760-acre farm here when he retired from government service in 1801, after a 27-year public career. Today, the historic site includes 62 of Jay's original acres, along with the main house, several outbuildings, stone walls and other features that were here during John Jay’s time. This cache is hidden along another relic: a section of the original entrance drive to the property. The large beech trees that line the “beech allee” were planted in the mid-1800s, when the farm was owned by John Jay’s grandson.

FTF reward is a pass for one free adult admission to the historic house. Please do not take the pass if you do not intend to use it before the end of the year. Do not attempt this cache from Lyon Ridge Road to avoid private property. Use the coordinates below for the parking lot.
