NOTE: Requires a bird count instead of a physical log due to COVID.
Sister City Park provides a lovely collection of oriental trees and a decorative arch in celebration for the connection forgred with the Village of Hatta with the monument opened in 1993. The sunny grounds also provides home for a bachleor tribe of Magpies.
Young birds have grey beaks and down, as they mature the males white becomes more brilliant - distinguishing them from the females who retain some grey around their neck. Magpies are brilliant evesdroppers and have the ability to immitate other birds - our friends also imitate dogs, phones and doorbells.
It is nice to sit and watch the cheerful young male birds wrestle and hunt in the sunny park.
**It is a little tricky, but please ensure the cache is properly reassembeled once signed to ensure it is as much fun for the next Cacher.**
COVID note: The container lid has been left without a log to limit the risk of COVID transmission, but remains to keep the fun of the hunt for cachers. We are accepting virtual logs, but welcome a count of the Magpies in the park.
