Geocache Description:

A century ago, standing here you'd be at the intersection of the extremities of Grove Farm (now occupied entirely by Grovelands Estate), Frieze Farm (now absorbed into Stratfield Brake, itself named after its Northern neighbour Stratfield Farm), and Minnis Farm (whose fields would later become Littlemarsh Playing Field and the now-derelict Yarnton Sewage Works).

Surrounded by farmland in every direction, bisected by the canal, and with only the distant spire of St. Mary's Church giving a clue as to the location of Kidlington, the landscape must have been very different.

Today, Kidlington has sprawled into a massive commuter village - or possibly a small town: only the residents' objections to such a classification preclude it - but here the canal still marks its Westernmost edge. Further West, the remaining fields between here and Yarnton remain as they have since forever ago, albeit now as Begbroke Hill Farm and owned by the University of Oxford.

A simple small hide to expand the opportunities for 'caching around the village. Space for small swaps, pencil and logbook. Container is a small clip-lock box in camouflage colours.

Initial contents include a travel bug: help it start its journey!
