KANAŁ TAŁTEŃSKI
Kanał Tałteński (inaczej nazywany Tałckim) jest jednym z wielu kanałów na Szlaku Wielkich Jezior Mazurskich. Jego długość wynosi 1620 metrów, szerokość około 12 metrów, a przeciętna głębokość prawie 2 metry. Kanał łączy ze sobą dwa jeziora - Tałty i Tałtowisko. Nad kanałem, od strony drugiego z jezior, znajduje się most prowadzący ze wsi Tałty do wsi Skorupki. Od tej właśnie strony istnieje możliwość dobicia do brzegu. Jest to miejsce często wybierane przez turystów biwakujących na dziko. Brzegi kanału zostały wybetonowane, co umożliwia holowanie jachtów.
Skrzynka znajduje obok Kanału Tałteńskiego. Aby do niego dotrzeć, trzeba kierować się w stronę miejscowości Tałty, za którą znajduje się kanał. Za mostem, po lewej stronie, znajduje się mały parking oraz miejsce ukrycia skrzynki.
TALTENSKI CANAL
The Taltenski Canal (otherwise known as Tałcki) is one of many canals on the Great Masurian Lakes Route. Its length is 1620 meters, width is about 12 meters, and the average depth is almost 2 meters. The canal connects two lakes - Tałty and Tałtowisko. A bridge leading from the village of Tałty to the village of Skorupki is located on the channel from the side of the second lake. From this side, there is the possibility of getting to the shore. It is a place often chosen by tourists camping in the wild. The shores of the canal have been concreted, which makes it possible to tow yachts.
The Tałteński Canal is used by passenger ships traveling through the Great Masurian Lakes Route. It is used, for example, while going from Mikołajki to Giżycko by the ships of the Żegluga Mazurska - the courses take place twice a day at 10:30 and at 15:00. The first course is also returning, giving tourists one and a half hours to rest in Giżycko.
The geocache is located next to the Taltenski Canal. To reach it, you have to head towards the town of Tałty, behind which there is a canal. Behind the bridge, on the left, there is a small parking lot and a place where geocache was hidden.
