SideTracked - Emerson Park Station Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Emerson Park Station Station

Emerson Park is a London Overground station serving the Emerson Park neighbourhood in Hornchurch in the London Borough of Havering, Essex

The station is on the Romford to Upminster Line and is the only intermediate station on that single-track line, (2.9 km) from Romford.

The station was opened as Emerson Park Halt in 1909 by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway on a branch line which had connected Romford with Upminster and Grays since 1893.

The station has been managed by London Overground since 2015, which also operates the train services. Emerson Park has no station buildings other than a canopy over the single platform.

It has relatively low but fast-growing patronage for a suburban railway station, with 308,000 passenger entries/exits in 2017/18, compared to 114,000 five years prior and just 67,000 ten years prior
