Geocache Description:

This church micro is for the Mary Harris Memorial Chapel of the Holy Trinity on the University of Exeter's campus. I wanted to place a church micro where you had to explore the church itself. The chapel is free for anyone to enter.

The chapel is open daily from 9am to 7pm. Mass is held at 12.45pm on Tuesdays and evensong at 5pm on Wednesdays. Currently social distancing and mask wearing is required when in the chapel.

The Mary Harris Chapel is a contemporary and inspirational space, designed by architect Dr E. Vincent Harris (OBE) who presented it to the University in memory of his mother. The light, airy space is decorated with contemporary panelling, unstained glass, a large simple cross on the east wall, and metal and glass altar decorations. The ceiling is painted with abstract vault patterns designed by Thomas Monnington. His design was inspired by the enduring qualities of simple geometry and light, and visualised as over-lapping webs of light extending into, and partly veiling, the mysteries of space. The Chapel was consecrated by the Lord Bishop of Exeter on 26 June 1958 and declared a Grade II Listed Building at Easter 1988.

To find the final location of the cache, you will need to enter the church and answer questions about it:
As you approach the chapel from the south, up the drive you will find the door on the left of the building. In a single panel of windows in the bottom row, how many rows and columns of smaller panes make up a single panel? A columns and B rows.
Once inside the church, there is a sculpture just inside the door. When was this purchased? 197C.
Inside the main church, there is a sculpture presented by Norman Yendell. What is the year on the plaque? 198D.
On the World War I plaque that reads 'To the memory of the men of this college who gave their lives for this country', what are the years noted for H. T. Marks? 1910-191E.
On the World War II plaque that read 'Roll of Honour', what are the years noted for E. L. Williams? 1937-193F.

The final location for the cache is N 50 43.CDF W 003 32.EAB. There is a check sum (A+B+C+D+E+F)=31

The cache is a short walk away in quite an obvious place once you get there! It is a magnetic nano so you may need tweezers to get the log out.
