Geocache Description:

20 July 2019, 09:00 - 12:00

The Crosswinds Cache Crew collaborates with the River Raisin Institute to host an invasive removal day.

Join us to remove Purple Loosestrife, a deceitfully beautiful invasive species, to better allow the native plants to flourish. Crosswinds Marsh features lush wetlands, a diverse array of rare plants and wildflowers, and an abundance of wildlife. Unfortunately, non-native plants and shrubs are crowding out the native plants. By clearing invasive species from our parks, we are creating healthier ecosystems for our native species

Meet at the Geocaching tent at 9:00 AM.   Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring hand clippers (if available). All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian.

Water and snacks will be provided

Be sure to keep an eye out for other upcoming geocaching events at Crosswinds Marsh.    See www.crosswindscaching.com for more information
