A true man through good and adversity, his wisdom was directed to guide and inspire all of us. Our community is a better place because of his good deeds. Joe B. Hoggsett served on the Tarrant Regional Water District's board of directors from 1929-1971 and 29 of those years he served as board president. Many of the things we enjoy today are because of his commitment, dedication, and passion for serving the people of Tarrant County. This trailhead named in Mr. Joe's honor is located on the westfork of the Trinity River between downtown Fort Worth and the historic Stockyards. From here take a 5 minute walk towards downtown for some of the best views of the Trinity River and Fort Worth skyline. You will not be disappointed!
This geocache is a part of the TRWD Trinity Trails Geocaching Adventure which takes you on a journey throughout the entire trail system to discover hidden gems, historically significant locations and some of the most popular spots along the trails. It’s perfect for families, geocaching newbies and seasoned “cachers” alike.
