Geocache Description:

A simple, easy-to-find cache in a Little Free Library. It is popular with local kids. Say "hi" to the Reading Buddy (stuffed animal) if there is one and exchange a trackable or two.

I've been wanting to put a library and cache here for a long time, almost since we moved in in 2015. When I mentioned it to my husband, he said, "what if there's a multicache or a puzzle cache stage nearby?"

I thought this was very unlikely, but I was wrong. There was actually a cache on the fire hydrant in our front yard! So it was fate that we bought this house. Unbeknownst to us, it came complete with its own cache!

The former cache, honoring the 1000th finds of local cachers itsjoma and wa11acew, was a lifesaver during my 1111-day streak. (I ended up going out and finding it at 11 pm in my pajamas on a busy day when I'd forgotten to find a cache earlier.) Itsjoma and wa11acew, along with CO rragan, were some of the first people we met in the local caching community. But they have long since moved on and are approaching 4000 finds as of this writing, so it's time for something new.

There are a couple of trackables to start with, a 2000 finds geocoin and an unactivated Geocaching Block Party keychain.

I hope you enjoy the library, especially any geocaching books you may encounter!

If you find it sitting on the books, ground, or elsewhere, please reattach the cache to its proper location via the easy attachment mechanism.

Congratulations to rragan, whose post hole digging tool made this cache possible, on the FTF!
