Ooit had Oostzaan een eigen station, nabij buurtschap 'de Haal'. Het was geopend van mei 1884 tot mei 1938.
Het station had een stijlvol stationsgebouw met een hoog middendeel met twee korte lage vleugels.
Helaas is daar nu niets meer van terug te zien: er staat nu een loods voor bedrijfsopslag. Er is wat fantasie voor nodig om je voor te stellen dat op deze winderige plek in het weiland ooit treinen stopten en reizen begonnen.
De cache is niet op het opslagterrein te vinden, en zeker niet in de buurt van het spoor.
A long time ago, Oostzaan had its own train station close to the township 'de Haal'. The station was open from May 1884 to May 1938.
The station had a stylish building with a high middle part with two low wings.
Unfortunately, today there is nothing to be seen of this building: there is now a barrack for storage. It takes some fantasy to imagine that at this windy location trains stopped and journeys started.
The cache is not located on the area of the barrack, nor close to the railt racks.
