At 6417 feet, this top of the mountain hide is a summer type hunt. It can be driven in a regular car.
Cinnamon Butte is located north of Diamond Lake in the Central Oregon Cascades. It has a 41' high tower (built in 1934, rebuilt in 1976) that is manned (womaned) during fire season. You are welcome to visit during reasonable hours.
From this butte, you can see virtually my whole childhood playground. I never get tired of this area of the Cascades. The close features include Diamond Lake, Mt. Bailey, Mt. Thielson, Sawtooth Ridge, Lemolo Lake and many, many more.
At the time of placement, there was a great deal of smoke from the Apple fire. The attached pics are not what I wanted to share. I hope that you have a breathtaking view when you share your story.
