La pequeña Suiza es el nombre dado a un macizo kárstico concentrado en la parte sureste de Bizkaia junto a los límites de Araba y Gipuzkoa donde se encuentra el Anboto entre otros montes y el santuario de Urkiola además de la cueva de Mari, la Dama de Anboto.

Al norte de este macizo, vigilado por la Dama de Anboto está el valle de Atxondo por donde en tiempos del inicio del siglo pasado discurrió un tren minero que llevaba mineral de hierro desde Arrazola, al fondo del valle, hasta unirse en Durango con el ferrocarril de San Sebastián. Desde Apatamonasterio, donde se inicia la ruta salía otro ramal de viajeros hasta la cercana localidad de Elorrio. Este tren se mantuvo en funcionamiento de 1903 a 1936 cuando se cerraron las minas y el tráfico del ferrocarril de pasajeros no era suficiente para mantenerlo. Posteriormente se usó en ocasiones para sacar troncos de los bosques cercanos desmontándose definitivamente en 1959. El ramal de Elorrio se cerró en 1975.

El evento comenzará a las 9:30 horas en las coordenadas indicadas y mientras nos vamos presentando, credenciales, intercambio y logueado de TBs, etc pasaremos el rato hasta las 10:00 horas.

A partir de esta hora realizaremos actividades opcionales por la zona.

Durangon Bilbao-Donostia trenbidearekin lotzen zen. Apatamonasteriotik Elorrioraino heltzen beste trenbide bat hasten zen. Meatze-trenbide hau 1903tik 1936 arte egon zen erabilgarri. Urte horretan meatzeak itxi ziren eta bidaiarien kantitatea ez zen nahikoa izan trena martxan izateko. Hortik aurrera basoetako egurra ateratzeko erabili zen 1959 arte, betiko kendu zenean. Elorrioko adarra 1975ean itxi zen.

Ekitaldia 9:30tan hasiko da emandako koordenatuetan eta bertan egongo gara 10:00 arte kredentzialak ematen, TBa erakusten eta logeatzen.
