There is an intriguing sign post on Table Cape which reads “Murdering Gully Road”. It was so named because of a murder which occurred along this road in 1858. No one has ever been convicted of the crime.
The road was the location for a now archived cache GC35G43 Murdering Gully hidden by Cached. The CO provided an in-depth account of the murder and subsequent events from newspaper articles, which makes for interesting reading. It is recommended that you select the above link to access the information.
Samuel Oakes went out one night and was found dead the next day, brutally murdered. The road was named after this tragic event and after 160 years, the name remains today.
Murdering Gully Road sounds spooky, especially at night.
You are looking for a 1000mL Sistema. We recommend that you look for the cache during daylight hours, not at night.
Congratulations The_Man_Of_Steel on your FTF - well done
