Number 1300 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
The pillar box in Sedgebrook is the last of the pillars made by Machan Foundry in Scotland before they went bust. This box previously replaced a smaller lamp box in the village. Why Sedgebrook needed a much larger box is anyone's guess? The telephone kiosk is out of use. It is unlikely to be used as a defibrillator housing due to there already being one on the side of the village hall.
