This event will be at Tony's Pizza from 6 PM until 8 PM on Monday April 15, 2019. We will be gathering to talk Geocaching, trade trackables, and hand out awards for those who registered and participated in our own Cache Carnival Awards! You do not need to participate in our Cache Carnival Awards to attend, sign the log, and get the smiley.
On March 25, 2019, Geocaching launched the Cache Carvinal Souvenir Promotion. The promotion ends on Sunday April 14 and you have until Monday April 15, 2018 at 5 AM PST to log your caches to have them count towards your score total. The scores are being shared on your Leaderboard (formerly known as Friend League) page found on your user dashboard.
You are awarded variable points depending on the favorite points of the caches you find, whether you attend a event, or if you earn a favorite point on your own cache. You can read all of the rules in the Cache Carnival FAQ or see the image below.
In order to participate in the Kern County Cachers Cache Carnival Awards, you simply need to "write note" stating you wish to participate before Sunday April 14 and have found a Geocache in Kern County in 2019. According to Groundspeak, the scores disappear on Monday April 15 at 5 AM, so be sure to get a screen shot of your score before that time. Then to confirm your Cache Carnival score, post a "will attend" log by Monday April 15 at noon PST with a screen shot or photo of your total score for the event.
Awards
We will award coveted trophies for the top five point leaders in the KCC Cache Carnival Awards. We might also award trophies for other awards as we see fit as we move along in the promotion. If you have any other fun award prizes you can think of, please mention them (sorry, no least amount of points. That is too easy.).

KCC Creation Celebration Pill Bottle Cache Contest Event
As part of the Cache Carnival, the Kern County Cachers are starting another long awaited cache planting contest. The Kern County Cachers Pill Bottle Cache Contest will start on Monday March 25 at midnight. To celebrate the start of this contest and the Cache Carnival, we will be meeting at Rusty's Pizza on Wible on Monday March 25 at 6 PM to have an official Cache Carnival Event which will also earn you a special souvenir!
