Am I absolutely sure I have permission to place here?
Learn how to use readily available tools to make sure you know where permission has been granted to place geocaches. These tools are easy to use, free to download, and essential for understanding land ownership.

To get the most out of the evening, participants are encouraged to bring their own “big screen” device (laptop, iPad, etc.) preloaded with GoogleEarth, the geocaching GoogleEarth plugin (How to and Download links), and their GPS’s mapping software (e.g. Mapsource or Basecamp for Garmin). They should also download the Eklutna Incorporated and Chugach State Park gpx files from the GeocacheAlaska! Land Manager webpage. Taking care of this ahead of time will avoid slowing the free WiFi at the BP Energy Center a crawl and allow the focus of the evening to be about using the tools.
This event will be limited to in-person at the BP Energy Center without an online component.
Please post a "Will Attend" log on this event page to stay appraised of any changes or updates to this class. If we need to make any announcements about this event, all registered attendees will automatically receive an email copy of those announcements via the email you have registered with your Geocaching.com account.
Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 7:00 p.m. Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers. Class will be inside the BP EC.
Note: The GeocacheAlaska! Board of Directors Meeting will be held prior to the event from 1730-1845 with the Event going from 1900-2030.
