Laure ni več... že 155 let. Navdihnila je 2 slovenska avtorja. Prvi je njeno mladost ovenčal v rimah, drugi pa njena zadnja leta v besedi. Njeno zadnje počivališče je v neposredni bližini rešene uganke. Na začetnih koordinatah zakladka NI. Reši uganko in najdi pot do zakladka.
Dvorec Novi dvor ali Neuhof je v 17.stoletju dala zgraditi družina Mordax. Po Mordaxovi smrti je dvorec menjal lastnike. Med najbolj znanimi je Joseph Anzelm Scheuchenstuel, ki je dvorec z vrtom kupil 1850, ko je nastopil svojo službo predsednika okrožnega sodišča v Novem mestu. Danes je dvorec del internega oddelka Splošne bolnišnice Novo mesto. Od vrta so ostale samo stopnice, ki so vodile do pripadajočega perišča in čolnarne.
Scheuchenstuel je bil majhne rasti in debelušen, v sodbah zober slovensko govoreče prebivalstvo pa zelo strog, zato so mu domačini pravili dolenjski Napoleon.
Bolj kot plemeniti Scheuchenstuel je ljudi tudi v preteklosti zanimala njegova žena Julija, ki je bila v svojih mladih letih navdih »največjemu« slovenskemu pesniku. Njegova pesem Luna sije, se je po tem, ko so je razvedelo, kdo je gospa Scheuchenstuel, prenekatero noč razlegala po Krki. Scheuchenstuehl je bil tudi zaradi tega še bolj strog. Nad dijake je pošiljal policijo, sodnega uradnika Franca Zorka, ki je v Laibacher Zeitung objavil vest, da je Julija umrla, pa odpustil.
"A. R. Novo mesto, 17. februarja. Odkar smo vam zadnjič pisali, se je v Novem mestu in njegovi najbližji okolici zgodilo le malo takega, kar bi nam srce in dolžnost narekovala prezreti. Naš kraj ni tak, da bi v umetnosti in kar je v zvezi z njo, posipal z rožicami. Umetnost je pri nas kot povsod na deželi zamrznila, njeni poznavalci in častilci pa so le redko posejani. Zato marsikaterega dogodka ne vrednotijo, tako kot bi si v svojem bistvu tudi zaslužil. Tako se je zgodilo tudi sedaj.
V prvih dneh meseca februarja je šel pesniški Genij tesno mimo nas. Njegovo lice pa je bilo zagrnjeno, zakaj žalujoč je sklanjal svojo baklo kot zadnjo luč nad plemenitim, njemu tako sorodnim bitjem, ki je nekoč pesniku Prešernu v njegovih zlatih dneh pomagalo sanjati, ki je bilo pogosti navdih njegovega resničnega pesniškega zanosa in ki v svoji lepoti in poveličani dobroti sije iz sonetov, v katerih ga je slavni pesnik tako vzorno opeval.
Prešernove Lavre ni več, vendar bo nesmrtno živela s pesnikom, ki je ovekovečil sebe in s tem tudi njo. Kdor pa ima srce in čut za umetnost sploh in še posebej za mojstrske poezije našega Prešerna, temu je in bo grob njegove Lavre svetišče. In ta zavest in ta spomin sta najlepši in nevenljivi venec, ki ga na sveži grob preminule polagamo z iskreno ganjenostjo."
O tem, doktorju in svojih poizvedovanjih je pisal tudi Janez Trdina v Bajkah in povestih o Gorjancih ter v Ljubljanskem zvonu, kjer je leta 1905 objavil povest Dve ljubici.

»Laura« is dead ... for 155 years now. She was an inspiration for two Slovenian authors. Her youth beauty was captured with rhymes of Slovenian most important poet, while her last years were described with words by Janez Trdina. Her last resting place is located in the vicinity of this geocache. There is NO geocache on the initial coordinates. Solve the riddle and find the way.
Mansion Novi dvor – Neuhof was built in the 17th century by Mordax family. From 18th century on the mansion changed the owners many times. The most famous owner was Joseph Anzelm Scheuchenstuel. He bought the mansion with the garden in 1850 after he became a chairman of the district court in Novo mesto. Today, the mansion is part of the General hospital Novo mesto. The gardens were demolished. Only the stairs, which led to the corresponding laundry and boathouse, still remains.
Scheuchenstuel was podgy man and small in size but very strict, especially when the judgement was against Slovene-speaking population. Although the locals used to call him Napoleon when the conversation was about him, it is his wife who is better known.
She was quite notorious in 1834 when Sonetni venec (wreath of sonnets) was published. This was the main reason why Scheuchenstuel tried to withdraw from Ljubljana to Novo mesto. When the locals found out, who the mystery Mrs.Scheuchenstuel is, there had been some misbehaviour from the locals, who sang the poems in the night on the opposite side of the river Krka. After that Scheuchenstuel was even more severe. And after his wife’s death he fired his court official Franc Zorko because he found out who wrote a death notice of his wife in Laibacher Zeitung:
"A.R. Novo mesto, February 17th: Since the last time we wrote to us, there was only a bit of happening in Novo mesto and its closest neighbourhood, which would merit our duty to mention it. Our place is not important in art and since art has been frozen in our town as everywhere in the country, artists and worshipers of art or events are rarely sown. In the early days of February not long ago, the Genius poet passed away. His face was hardened for he was grieved his torch of life, his inspiration. To him so-related creature, which helped the poet Prešeren in his golden days to dream, Prešeren's Laura, who inspired his true poetic art and which in his beauty and glorified goodness shines from sonnets, has now gone. Still she will live immortally with a poet who has immortalized himself and hence with her. Anyone who has a heart and at least the tinniest sense of art at all and especially for the masterly poetry of our Prešeren, will tribute the tomb of his Laura. And this most beautiful memory is an irreplaceable wreath, which we laid on the fresh grave with a sincere sorrow.”
There was another author, Janez Trdina, student at that time, who admired poetry of Prešeren. He knew who Prešeren's Laura was and he decided to visit Novo mesto just to meet her. After he has been forced to retire from teaching in Rijeka, he decided to settle down in Novo mesto. He inquired people who knew Julia. He published his story Dve ljubici. in Ljubljanski zvon
