What is a 'Mardle'?: A Mardle is a name given to a monthly meeting of Geocachers from the Norfolk and Suffolk area. They are held at different locations every month. The word means to chat or natter and seems very appropriate for the monthly gatherings.
The Mardle this month comes to Thurston and is a birthday celebration. There are a higher than average number of Mardlers with a birthday at this time of year so what better way to celebrate than with caches - and cake!
Eljoma, Bee Of Good Cheer, IndisVanyar, BigBadJohn, Doggywalker, and that's just the ones we know about so far! (Two of them are very special birthdays!)
Thurston Library is hosting us, it closes at 6pm to the public so is all ours for the night. Usually there is a charge to hire but I have arranged with Friends of Thurston Library that we can just empty pocket change into their donation tin instead.
If anyone would like to bring drinks or a plate of food for the party it would be gratefully received. Mr Stowmartian has promised some of his exceptional baking for us to look forward to!
The village may have a new cache or two courtesy of TheGeotourers so keep a look out, free Wi-Fi is available at the library should you require
Limited parking available on site but the road will be quiet enough to use if we need more
