Geocache Description:

Welcome to The Wilderness Center's Pond Trail!  This is one of six..yes, six..the new and improved Sigrist Trail is open!..trails on the property.  This cache is being released to coincide with TWC's annual event, SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER-2019.  Although not part of the event, this cache and several others will be available to find after the event.

Have you ever seen an Albino Bat?  They are rare indeed!  We have...just one and it was a long time ago at the Stark County Fair.  It is a sight you will never forget!  Be quiet so you don't scare it!  It may take a "swing" at you but don't worry..it won't bite!  And please be gentle with it and replace it as you found it.

You may need tweezers and you will defiitely need to bring your own writing utensil.  And CACHE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The TWC Interpretive Building is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9AM to 5PM.  Limited seasonal hours on Sundays.  The trails are open every day from dawn to dusk.  If you plan on staying after closing or come in the evening, park in the lower parking lot as the gates are locked at 5PM.  No night caching is permitted with the exception of our winter event on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  The grounds are patrolled by the Stark County Sheriff's Office and the local  police.  These trails can get slippery and dangerous during the winter and rainy months so cache with care.  No alcohol, firearms or pets allowed on the Pond, Wilderness and Pioneer trails.  Pets on a leash are permitted on the trails across Alabama Avenue but not during events.
