Rolling Knolls Forest Preserve
Rolling Knolls is a 55 acre forest preserve on the site of the former Rolling Knolls Country Club. Cook County forest preserve bought the property in 2010, and spent a few years renovating the property before opening it to the public.
The preserve is open for hiking, disk golf, fishing - including ice fishing, drone flying (make way for disk golfers), and sledding.
Now, there is also geocaching. This series of caches was placed for the Breakfast in the Blustery Burbs 2019 event. It was a mild winter day when we placed the caches, and many of the trails were quite muddy. We expect the terrain rating on some of these to go up a bit in the summer.
We really enjoyed our time here placing these caches, and we hope you enjoy the preserve as you come to find them.
