Geocache Description:

2018 has been a fun year for geocaching: we celebrated 3 Million Active Geocaches and went geocaching around the globe with Where’s Signal the FrogⓇ. But it’s time to start looking ahead.

Let’s make 2019 the best year ever! To get us off to a good start, we’re announcing two new souvenirs: one to celebrate your last cache of 2018, and one to celebrate your first cache of 2019!

How can I earn both souvenirs?

1.) Find a geocache or attend an event on December 31, 2018 to earn the Last Cache of 2018 souvenir.
2.) Find a geocache or attend an event on January 1, 2019 to earn the First Cache of 2019 souvenir.

This event will satisfy #2.

We'll be meeting at the Valley Mall Food Court for a short meet and greet. Various choices offer sandwiches, soup, coffee, and snacks.

Who:
Why YOU, of course...whether you have one cache find or a thousand cache finds, please feel free to come join us for a small meet and greet.

When:
Tuesday, January 01st, 2019
11:00 AM - 12:00 NOON

Where:
Valley Mall Food Court
17301 Valley Mall Road
Hagerstown, MD 21740
(301) 582-0700

Why:
To talk about geocaching and the caches that we plan to find in 2019, trade travel bugs and geocoins and share yummy food and fun. Those who wish to may also do some geocaching before or after the event.

Extra things to keep in mind:

  • If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at one of the events, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s).
  • The consumption of food and drink is not required to attend this event, but if you choose to do so, it is at your own expense.
  • The various restaurants in the food court accept cash, debit and credit cards. Please plan accordingly.

 FTF honors go to??? Congratulations!!!
