A Slice and the Froggies 2019 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

tealeaf: Over and done and next month's is published. We love being able to recognize those who go beyond bisons on a fence, pill bottles in bushes and keyholders in guard rails. Several of our newbies had expressed interest but only Davesdakota were brave enough to come and we enjoyed meeting them. A lot of regulars were missing but we got to catch up with less frequent eventers. Disappointed that geowalkabout didn't break their long dry spell (perhaps he was time-traveling and came last week). Thanks to SandiaFamily for the chocolate goodies and we're happy they are all in good health again. Congrats to Stan on his 10,000th find. Sorry to have mis-categorized Fugads "hiking" cache but it sounds like a great one and you won't need endurance to get it. Thank you to those who wanted to nominate our caches but we weren't good with running the election and competing in it and we encourage you to go after them as well as all these winners and runners up. Hope to see everyone next month and that event is worth a souvenir.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

27 February 2019, 17:30 - 19:00

Hollywood has its Oscars and we in metro Albuquerque have our Froggies. This event is to celebrate those cachers who are creative, crafty and original (or steal great ideas from other places). Your votes decide the winners.

This is our recurring meet n greet at the Mario's on 4th St. NW. We meet on the last Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:30 pm. If you are a regular, you know the drill. If you are new or just passing through, come have some fun with local cachers

We have the room at the back and order off the menu so you can eat as much or as little as you want. You can eat. You can drink. You can eat and drink. You can do neither and just show up to chat (no purchase necessary to attend). They do not have a problem with separate checks. Beer and wine are available and it's family friendly. Please sign up by Monday the 25th so we can give a head count to the restaurant.

Only caches placed in 2018 are eligible. They must be within the geographical area generally bounded by Moriarty to the east, Valencia County to the south, Rio Rancho to the west and Santa Fe and Los Alamos to the north.

During December, take stock of caches you have enjoyed and place the one you've been thinking about.

In January, submit nominations.

Note: The key information in the note about a list of caches so you can check them out for yourself, the link (https://coord.info/BM65ZWM) which most people will know how to handle. An easy way is highlight the link and right click and select open link.
