The world needs a hero.
Actually, it needs three heroes.
The evil Drakkar Calarook has created an insidious device which is sucking the power from the GPS satellites and consequently ruining the geocaching past time. The device, rumoured to be a mint tin in a guard rail, is destroying the very fabric of the game, and it must be stopped.
Drakkar however is powerful so to stop him you will need endurance, smarts and perfect timing. The great and almighty Tjinimin however is as clever as Drakkar and he has built his own machine. Tjinimin’s machine, when operated correctly will reveal the co-ordinates of Drakkar’s device. That sound’s simple, but it’s not. You see, Tjinimin’s machine needs to triangulate the location of Drakkar’s device and so it has three locations and all three locations have a button and all three buttons need to be pressed at the exact same time. By pressing the button’s, the machine generates number codes at each location that then need to be communicated to and entered in to the other locations. So, it is far from simple, and it’s not easy either. You see, for Tjinimin’s machine to be effective, these three locations need to be as high in altitude as possible and so they have been placed at the summit of the three highest mountains in Victoria, Mt Bogong, Mt Feathertop and Mt Nelse West.
Your mission is to gather two friends (or acquaintances will do at a pinch) and climb these three summits, all at the exact same time. You will need to decide who visits which summit. Before heading out, all three of you will need to download this wherigo cartridge. Once at each summit you will each be presented with a button. Do not press this button straight away. You need to communicate with each other so that you all press the button simultaneously (well within 15 seconds of each other should do).
Once you have each pressed your respective buttons you will be given a number code and told which mountain location needs that number code. You must communicate this code to the other person who is on top of that mountain. At the same time, you will also require a number code at your location, which should be communicated to you from your other friend on the other mountain. How you communicate these codes to each other is up to you, but it might be best to plan this before you all head out.
Once this process has been repeated a couple of times, Tjinimin’s machine will be able to triangulate the location of Drakkar’s mint tin device. Go to that location, find Drakkar’s device, but please, as much as you might want to, don’t destroy it. If Drakkar finds out that we know his secret, he might place more of these terrible devices. You’ll know what to do when you find Drakkar’s device.
