This will be a gathering of like-minded people for a fun day out. Welcome to "INTERVENING DAYS": the days between Christmas and the New Year. The first "INTERVENING DAYS" was run in 2008 by cachers Ian and Penny. Following on the success of the event they also ran it in 2009 and 2010. Ausdynamix and Scubacrazy666 ran it in 2011. Scubacrazy666 ran it alone in 2012 and 2013. The 2 Wanderers ran it in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The venue for all these events has always been Hannah Watts Park in Melton. There was no event in 2017. 2018 will be INTERVENING DAYS X. Unfortunately Hannah Watts Park is closed for renovation until mid-2019. An alternative park has been chosen.
This event gives everyone the chance to come from far and wide and meet with like-minded people, and gives us the chance to meet old and new cacher friends. Come along and share stories, have a chat and some good laughs. You might even pick up a hint or two.
You can ARRIVE FROM 5.00pm onwards and we will FINISH AROUND 7.00pm.I will be there early to secure our spot. At GZ there are four under cover electric barbecues, and some picnic tables with bench seats. Toilets, rubbish bins, a children's playground and plenty of parking is nearby. There are also walking paths for wandering around a lake.
BYO FOOD AND DRINKS. It might be a good thing to bring a folding chair because we might run out of seating if a large number turn up. There will be games to play and prizes to be won.
You will need to bring a GPS or similar device to find GZ (and to help you in one of the games).
