Capela da Luz Eterna
Trata-se de uma capela mortuária, que pela sua originalidade e arrojo será sem dúvida uma referência arquitetónica nos Açores.
Trata-se dum projecto do arquiteto Bernardo Rodrigues, natural de Ponta Garça e premiado internacionalmente que tem obras em vários países como os Estados Unidos da América, China, Japão, Dubai e Portugal (incluindo Açores).
A capela tem dois níveis, uma pequena sala e casa de banho em baixo e a capela em cima. Uma primeira pirâmide invertida de betão sustenta uma segunda feita de aço. A pedra mármore de cor verde da Guatemala cobre as paredes exteriores, com zinco no telhado. As paredes prateadas do interior refletem a luz filtrada das aberturas.

Chapel of Eternal Light
It is a mortuary chapel, which for its originality and boldness will undoubtedly be an architectural reference in the Azores.
It is a project of the architect Bernardo Rodrigues, native of Ponta Garça and internationally awarded with works in several countries such as the United States of America, China, Japan, Dubai and Portugal (including the Azores).
The chapel has two levels, a small living room and bathroom downstairs and the chapel on top. A first inverted concrete pyramid holds a second made of steel. The green marble stone of Guatemala covers the outer walls, with zinc on the roof. The silver walls of the interior reflect the filtered light from the openings.
