The cache is not at the published coordinates. These will take you to a Little Bridge. The cache is a very short walk away. All the information for working out the final coordinates can be found at the bridge:
The bridge has a plaque at one end reading: “In memory of Nobby Stratford who enjoyed these fields.” There is another plaque half way along the bridge telling some of the history: “The original King Bridge was burnt down in August ABCD”.

This is intended to be an easy multi-cache, ideal for new cachers. The area around the bridge and final location is beautiful but often muddy. Boots are a good idea after rain and the area can be impassable during very wet winters. Please take care of children when near the water’s edge. The cache is large enough for small TB and some swag.
For nature lovers, a crayfish has been seen in the brook right here at King Bridge and there have been sightings of Green Woodpeckers, Red Kites, a Jay and a Little Egret in 2018. With noisy Geokids in tow we haven’t spotted any of those, but we have seen young foxes and all manner of mini beasts. This is also a fabulous area to pick wild blackberries in the autumn.
