Now for the Cache:
You will need to begin this adventure at the posted coordinates. Then open the Wherigo player, start the cartridge, follow the instructions, and the physical cache with the letter code will be found at coordinates revealed through the Wherigo player.
Fernland Historical Park provides examples of early Texas architecture with early Texas life. The log homes and cabins presented within the park are some of the oldest remaining structures within Texas.
If you're not familiar with a Wherigo, you owe it to yourself to experience this unique method of virtual entertainment to find a geocache! As you physically move from one location to the next, additional information is revealed that will lead you to the next stop.
A Wherigo is pretty simple. All you need to play the Wherigo type of geocache is a smart phone or a Wherigo compatible GPSr. The Garmin Colorado and Oregon series have the Wherigo player pre-installed.
Follow these two easy steps to play a Wherigo geocache.
Step 1: Download the Wherigo Player - only if you don't already have the Wherigo player installed. You generally need to do this step just once for your device.
Step 2: Download the Wherigo "cartridge" (software specific to this geocache) named Fernland Historical Park from wherigo.com.
Now follow the information revealed on the screen of your device ... and have some fun!
