Oito quilómetros de chão de madeira, com praias ao pé, pássaros no ar e patos na água, circundam a barrinha de Esmoriz/lagoa de Paramos, a maior zona lagunar do Norte do país, entre os dois municípios. Este passeio tem cores vibrantes e sons que saem da natureza.
As cores sobressaem com intensidade e é quase impossível não reter onde quer que seja, nas máquinas fotográficas ou de filmar, nos telemóveis, mas sobretudo na memória. É o azul que vem à tona na barrinha de Esmoriz ou lagoa de Paramos, a maior zona lagunar do Norte do país com quase 400 hectares. É o branco das dunas de areia ao fundo, que escondem o mar, e que ganha mais brilho em dias de sol. É o verde dos canaviais que crescem sem restrições e com água aos pés. É o castanho da madeira dos passadiços que rodeiam uma barrinha que estava moribunda e poluída e que agora ressuscita com mais ar nos pulmões e mais visibilidade.
Não são só cores, também há sons. O do vento que abana os juncos. O dos patos, dos pássaros, das avionetas do aeródromo de Paramos que, de vez em quando, sobrevoam o céu. O som do mar das praias de Esmoriz e de Paramos nos acessos mais a poente. A barrinha é o coração destes passadiços que têm vista para quintais, para cabras a pastar, para um barco velho que perdeu uso. Este percurso capta a atenção de gente que corre, pedala de bicicleta, caminha sem pressas ou vai à praia por caminhos que agora são acessíveis. Por cima da lagoa, há uma ponte de madeira que liga Centro e Norte do país, de onde o olhar consegue reunir praticamente todo o cenário deste percurso circular que, a norte, permite continuar pelos passadiços de Paramos em direção a Espinho e daí até Gaia. Em cima dessa ponte, com mais de 40 metros de comprimento, a paisagem é densa.
Ali perto está o observatório de aves com bancos de madeira e aberturas para a barrinha que é morada de flora e fauna dignas de registo. A garça-real, a fuinha dos juncos, o rouxinol bravo, o lagostim vermelho, o estorninho malhado, o pisco-de-peito-ruivo, a lampreia-de-riacho, são algumas espécies que ali habitam. Alguns sons que entram nos ouvidos certamente vêm dessa bicharada. Perto da ponte, há um pequeno cais flutuante que aproxima os pés da barrinha que durante anos foi fustigada com focos poluentes de várias proveniências até entrar num processo de despoluição para voltar à vida e respirar decentemente. A natureza agradece. As pessoas também.

Eight kilometers of wooden floor, with beaches at the foot, birds in the air and ducks in the water, surround Esmoriz / Lago de Paramos, the largest lagoon area in the north of the country, between the two municipalities. This tour has vibrant colors and sounds that come out of nature.
The colors stand out with intensity and it is almost impossible not to retain wherever it is, in cameras or film, in mobile phones, but especially in memory. It is the blue that comes to the fore in the bar of Esmoriz or pond of Paramos, the largest lagoon area in the north of the country with almost 400 hectares. It is the white of the sand dunes in the background, which hide the sea, and which gains more luster on sunny days. It is the green of the cane fields that grow unrestrictedly and with water to the feet. It is the brown of the wood of the walkways that surround a bar that was moribund and polluted and that now resuscita with more air in the lungs and more visibility.
It's not just colors, it's also sounds. The wind blowing the reeds. That of the ducks, of the birds, of the airplanes of the Paramos aerodrome that, from time to time, fly over the sky. The sound of the sea from the beaches of Esmoriz and Paramos in the most access to the west. The little bar is the heart of these walkways that overlooks backyards, for goats grazing, for an old boat that has lost use. This route captures the attention of people who run, bike, walk without haste or goes to the beach in ways that are now accessible. Above the lagoon, there is a wooden bridge that connects Central and North of the country, from where the look manages to gather practically the whole scene of this circular route that, in the north, allows to continue by the footbridges of Paramos towards Espinho and from there until Gaia . On top of this bridge, over 40 meters long, the landscape is dense.
Nearby is the bird observatory with wooden benches and openings to the little bar that is home to flora and fauna worthy of registration. The heron, the weed of the reeds, the wild nightingale, the red crawfish, the spotted starling, the red-breasted robin, the caterpillar lamprey, are some of the species that inhabit it. Some sounds that come in the ears certainly come from this bicharada. Near the bridge, there is a small floating pier that approaches the feet of the bar that for years has been flogged with polluting foci from various sources until it enters a process of depollution to return to life and to breathe decently.
